In Acts 10 we see Jesus described by Luke (the beloved physician) as going about “doing good.”
He certainly did.
And perhaps the major part of the good He did was to proclaim the Kingdom of God had come near, but He also healed the sick and fed the 5000. This raises the question: in what ways and to what degree should we who proclaim the gospel be following Jesus’ example of the other kinds of “doing good:” feeding the poor, caring for the sick, and fixing the structural inequalities of culture as we continue to live the gospel, proclaim it and defend it?
